Web

Down one line lies health

And another to family

Job, house, friends, and more

At the center is the spirit

Crossing between the lines

With a dancer’s sure steps

Back and forth

Across shimmering silk

Let them drift apart

And feel the keen loss

Tie them to close together

And form a nasty knot

Define the lines

And connect them all

Keep them straight and true

And never will you fall

Spin a lie

And soon you’ll find

A tangled web

Filled with holes and drooping lines

Inspired by my favorite quote, “Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.” – Sir Walter Scott for NaPoWriMo. On a personal note we finally finished painting the cursed house today so things should be getting back to normal shortly, we can hope anyway.
